Harold Leslie Kent was baptized September 27, 1891 in Aycliffe.

He was one of 8 children. His parents were Charles and Hannah Kent.

In the 1911 census they lived in the High Street, Aycliffe. Charles, was a butcher and his sons Leslie and Joseph were his assistants.

Harold married Jane Ann Wake in 1914. He had a daughter, Lily, born 1914, and a son, Harold Leslie, born 1918.

Leslie served as Pte 204390 in the 4th Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers.
